I have been looking at the lenses for the Sony a850, primarily a 100mm macro.
There is the 100mm 2.8 from sony, I believe there is the 105mm 2.8 Sigma as well. Which one is better. I have used the 2.8 Sigma on the E-3 with a great deal of success and have found it an excellent lens. Does it perform as well on the Sony? Or is the Sony version better, please if you dont have experience with either lens i am after some real world experience.
My other lens question. The 12-60 is an excellent lens, with an amazing ability to get close focusing for images with perspective distortion, I tried out the 24-70 but for close focusing on smaller objects at shorter focal lengths the object was quite small in the frame (as focus couldn't be achieved). I have attached an example of the effect i would like to achieve in the sony FF system, what lens on the sony system would you recommend to get this perspective.
I do really appreciate any and all advice I get.
Here is an image of the perspective i was talking about http://www.odl-designs.com/images/OS09_BigPromo_Groupe01.jpg
The 24 -70 pushes you too far back, and you can only use about half of the frame...
