I will be spending two weeks in Vancouver BC Canada next February for the Winter Olympic Games. Being a southern boy, I have next to no experience photographing in the cold and snow. I am not an expert at the A700, so I am looking for tips for taking pics in such conditions as will probably be apparent during the Games. I am most concerned about the snow blowing out my highlights and such, as well as the effect of cold weather on equipment, batteries, etc. Any other tips that come to mind wouldst be most appreciated. Also, I am considering a new lens to add to my collection for the trip. Based on what you see in my profile, what lenses should I take, leave home, and maybe add?
Thanks
