Sony A100 problem

I think there's a fault with my A100.

With SteadyShot on, there are always five bars flashing, even when it's sitting on a steady tripod. This happens in any mode, any shutter speed, etc.

Also, even when I switch SteadyShot off, I can still hear what I think is the sensor moving if I don't keep the camera perfectly still - it's the same sound you get during a long exposure with SS on if you shake the camera.

Any ideas?
