Way back in the first half of 2007 I saw information on an A200 which led me to use that name for the A700 - and also led me to doubt that the A700 had a glass pentaprism, since the information released on the A200 definitely used the same terms as the A100 to describe the prism. For the same reason, I also thought the A700 would not have a 1-1/8000th shutter but a 1-1/4000th design.

It will be interesting to see whether the actual A200 resembles the info released from a Japanese source which we thought might have been the A700/xxxx.

If it turns out to be 12 megapixels (the rumour is 10 but the Luxembourg leak shows 12) then I think the parallel rumour from Japan - that the A900 uses a 14.8 megapixel full fame sensor with in-camera Sony developed interpolation to 28 megapixels - becomes more plausible than the rival 18 megapixel supposition.
