First--allow me to say I own an a700--I love its ease of use and the great pics I get...however--I do miss the perspectives I can get so easily with the R1 because of the swivel Viewfinder... If you have never tried it--it is very difficult for you to have an opinion... I switch between the R1 and A700 depending on use--and I find that I really miss the great perspectives I can always get with the R1... I believe the D300 has a swivel "live-view" screen, and I know the new Olympus E3 does...

In fact, the more I use the a700 the more I see the value of the "live-view" feature if only because of the perspectives available--you can hold the camera in any number of positions and see what the camera shot will be--over head, sideways, on the floor or ground... It is not just a point and shoot mentality--it is really a matter of perspective!

Can any of you tell me if the a900 will have the live-view swivel screen. Once you try it--it will be very difficult to enjoy anything else...
