Hi all, Just a topic for fun. Reading thru all of the new posts with samples from the A700 and it made me chuckle about something. With the new A700, it looks like Sony is going to challenge Canon very well for best IQ in this price segment. Many Canon users say the reason they shoot Canon is for the high ISO (heaven knows it's not for the ergonomics LOL). If Sony (and Nikon) catch up in this regard I wonder what the next argument to avoid Sony will be? If they can't toot the ISO horn any longer what's next?
Here's my guesses and please remember this is for fun only:
1. Well, it's still a Sony.
2. In-body IS sucks!
3. Lenses are overpriced and the selection sucks, even though I only need /own a Tamron 18-200 on my Canon. 4. The vertical grip is too big with too many buttons (actually saw this comment in the Nikon forum) 5. I can't take pictures without a half-a$$ version of live view!
6. It's not full frame, even though I couldn't afford it anyway!
7. My Sony computer always crashed so I'm not going to buy their camera.
8. It's ugly!
9. I won't buy a camera without a top LCD
10. It's got a memory stick slot like a playstation so it can't be a serious camera.
11. Last but not least: Until it's good enough for the NFL photogs I won't shoot it! (By the way I own a Rebel XT)
OK so that's the top 11 reasons. -- My gallery for your perusal: http://www.pbase.com/gipper51/root
