I am a brand new k-x owner. Just installed Digital Camera Utility 4, on my PC. It started up fine and I was able to open a few PEF files and play with them. I exited and have not been able to get the program to start. I get an error message from Windows XP right after the DCU 4 splash screen that says "PTXUTL40.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I have tried:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling.
2. Disabling my Norton Antivirus
3. Turning off Google desktop

Nothing helps. I can not get the program to start. Has anyone else had this problem and if so were you able to determine the problem?

I am about to try contacting Pentax.
