Two days ago I got the chance to shoot at a concert (not official photographer). I was there with my little daughter so I had to sit at the same place all the time. It was quite dark and with the k10d + m 135 (and my lack of experience) I didn't have much hope for many keepers. As I had people right in front of me I didn't dare to shoot that often...I was afraid that the shutter sound would annoy the others.

Then, a woman with a Nikon walked to the first row and fired away like crazy. She used flash aimed straight at the people entertaining. She also had focus confirmation beep switched on, so all the people at the first row (and maybe second) had to listen to "beep, beep, beep, beep, beep!".

Anyway, the pics came out much better than I had expected. Four out of six were good enough for my use.

All shots were taken wide open, shutter speeds between 1/20s and 1/30s and ISO between 400 and 800.
