Unfortunately, this is not my experience.
I have cleaned the contacts, taken batteries out and put back in again, changed battery sets, turned the camera OFF then On again, waited 30-60 seconds after changing batteries before turning the camera on, played with battery type in the menu, Changed Cameras and so on- still the same problem.
