I first note that the effect of the zooming ring becomes much slower between 200 and 250. Then I made a few comparisons. At infinity the lens is OK. At 3m The effective max focal lenght becomes about 160 (comparison with the F4.5/300 and the 55-300). At 1.6m it becomes only 5% more than the max effective focal lenght of the 50-135. I know that internal focusing can result in a lower effective focal lenght when not at infinity, but 3m is no more macro! Must I send the lens back, or is that normal? -- Jacques Bijtebier
