70-300mm F3.5-4.5 to me really seems to be a nice compromise between the budget F4-5.6's and for instance the more expensive inner zooming Sigma 100-300mm F4. With a 1.4TC you get a 100-420mm F4.9-6.3 so you still have AF over the full range.
- Focal length: 70-300mm - Max. Aperture: F3.5-4.5 - Size: 80x175mm, filter 72mm - Weight: 850-1000gr - Constr: Outer zooming - Price: 450-550
Sigma already has this mostly covered with the 100-300mm F4, but I can imagine some people would like something cheaper, lighter or starting wider and still be able to use a 1.4TC while retaining AF. Perhaps something for Tamron, any way any one would like something like this or am I rambling again?
