I couldn't resist and so I purchased the DA 35 2.8 macro limited. Although not that fast for a prime lens..but what a great lens this is.
Superb build quality, just like my 77mm Limited. Beautiful rendering, great colors. AF speed good when you do point to point shots, i could easily manage AF-C bike shots (in good light though).
Macro functionality is good to handle for flowers or static objects, it's off course not suited for bugs. The distance between subject and lens is just too close then.
Sharpness is unbelievable even right from open f2,8. My copy is sharp from edge to edge with no sign of misalignment.
I included in the reply some shots straight out of the camera (jpegs). (Default import in Lightroom and export with automatic framing).
Ohh and the manual focus is very good damped with excellent feedback to the user. This lens justified my purchase without a second thought afterwards.
