Just to calm down some of the fears that 14mpix is too much: The pixel density will still be miles away from the current pixel density of P&S cameras. Take e.g. the G9 or the upcoming Optio A40, which are classified as /large/ sensor P&S cameras, since they have 1/1.7" sensors. But 12mp 1/1.7" sensors have the pixel densitiy of a hypothetical 62mp APS-C sensor!! Or take the current crop of advanced super-zoom P&S cameras, they typically have 8mp 1/2.5" sensors, that's the same density as a 120mp APS-C sensor...
