In the past, I've successfully used Kodak 2500mAh rechargeables on other cameras using Kodak rapid charger (about 3 hrs, actually). Recently bought some more for the K100D, but after about 20 pics & preview, batt level goes 1/2 way, then eventually says batteries empty and shuts off. Turn it back on immediately and battery indicator is at full and can continue taking pics.
My main question: I've seen recommendations on this site from folks for the 'eneloop' AA batteries. Is this the best type to get or are there other recommendations that can be summed up?
Side notes: Others have mentioned Energizer e2, which look like a good backup if needed, but I'd prefer to stick with rechargeables.
Maybe the kodaks I mentioned above are defective because at about 3 hrs, 3 of the leds were out on the charger, but on one of the batteries, the light blinked in a pattern of 11 blinks, held the last, off a few seconds, then repeated. I suspected a problem with that one battery and haven't been able to find out from kodak what that might be. This is the first time that's ever happened and we have about 4 sets around the house being used without any problems.
I know batteries have been discussed here, but if I could get some good summarized recommendations, I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Don
