Ack! As i was leaving the house this morning, i grabbed my K10d and was making sure all the buttons and switches were in the right place, and when i went to touch the shake reduction switch, it just fell off. I didn't even twist/flip it, i literally touches the face of the button and it just fell off. It's not a clean i-can-snap-it-back-on type pop-off either, it looks like there was plastic fatigue and it broke off unevenly.
Of course, I'm gunna send it in for repair, but I'm leaving for a short trip in a week and wanna take the camera with me, so the repair will have to wait a couple weeks. But in the mean time, is there a way to make sure that Shake Reduction is turned on?
The shaky hand icon isn't on in the viewfinder, but I can't remember if that means SR is on or off. I took a handheld shot at 1/4" @ 50mm, and it didn't look blurry, so I *think* it's on, but how can I be sure?
Does data about SR being on or off get saved to exif anywhere? Does it showup in a menu anywhere else?
