I just purchased a SONY A700 and looking for a good, longer zoom. I am new to Minolta, but have read great things about the "beercan" lenses. Which beercan lens provides the best image quality? How does the image quality of the older Minolta beercan lenses compare to a new Sigma 70-300mm APO or equivalent Tamron lens? Would the beercan lenses perform well on the A700? Thanks!
