It appears that the graphic considers one focal length in the entire the display. Most likely at 11mm. Here is an actual image of the KM 11-18 DT on 35mm film at 11mm focal length:

I would suggest that the graphic illustrate the effects at various focal lengths. The images from 14mm and up are quite usable. Because I was expecting poor results (and I am cheap) I used cheap film and processing but better quality film and processing can produce quality images with the KM 11-18 DT on 35 mm full frame at focal lengths of 14mm and over.

The graphic display is outstanding but a somewhat inaccurate representation ignoring variable focal lengths.
