Hi guys, I did some searching in this forum regarding Infra-Red photography with the 7D and only found these 2 threads.
1. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1035&message=13036070
2. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1035&message=11887958
Both did not address the issue regarding light leak or whatever you call it, that made the photos ugly. If you look at the following photos I posted below, you'll understand, I hope. All photos were taken with the HOYA R72, AS off, white balance set to auto and post-processed with Paintshop Pro 9's One Step Photo Fix and resized.

This was taken without covering the viewfinder.

This was taken with the viewfinder covered using the provided cover on the neckstrap. I had the hotshoe cover clipped on it as well so as to minimise the gap that could have allowed light to leak in.

This was taken with my thumb covering the viewfinder entirely.

The EXIF infos are still available.

What could have gone wrong? Did you notice the corners having hue? They look like light reflected off the mirror but where did the light come from if I had covered the viewfinder?

Regards,
Don.
