As promised. EXIF data should be intact, and no noise reduction has been applied in PS (though I have done the usual curves/levels/sharpening). Images are roughly 30% of full size, so should be enough to give you an idea of overall quality/noise etc. I'll post more to my flickr page (www.flickr.com/photos/mingthein) as I get the chance to shoot...will be taking this with me to Japan in a week to complement my pair of D200s - I'm not bringing any lenses >200mm with me, so this will fit my kit nicely...

I forgot to mention earlier that
1. the EVF is horrible. Seems to have about half the resolution of the LCD - shame.
2. CS3 cannot open the raw files yet, so an evaluation of raw file quality will have to wait for a while. I do have the copy of Silkypix which was bundled with the camera, but I'm not familiar with the 'look' of its outpu so it would be unfair of me to compare it on that basis - a lot of the raw image signature (noise included) is down to the converter.
3. Battery life is so-so. I got about 100 shots out of it before the indicator showed me half, but this is the first charge of the battery. (However, I'm not surprised - the battery is a paltry 740mAH!)

Full zoom, 504mm. About 3m from the bird. Nice bokeh on this lens!

Sky - individual leaves clearly visible in fullsized shot. No CA or vignetting visible anywhere, even in the corners. Very impressive indeed!

Local cakes (ISO400)

And here's the kicker: this shot is ISO 800, at full zoom. The OIS system on this camera is noticeably bette rthan that on my TZ3, and easily takes the cake as the best stabilizer I've ever used, period. (And I've used all of the Nikon VR lenses, most of the Canon IS lenses, and the Olympus/Pentax/Sony in-body IS.) Note: image is is sharp, doesn't have that much smearing even at 100%. However, ambient WB is sunlight, which probably explains it. I don't believe the camera will perform this well indoors.

No dynamic range problem that I can see if you expose properly.
