Many of you have seen these, but I am really impressed by the FZ18 ISO 100 samples shown here: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdc.watch.impress.co.jp%2Fcda%2Freview%2F2007%2F08%2F06%2F6755.html&langpair=ja%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF8

With the exception of the three shots taken through a ton of atmospheric haze, they show pretty impressive "per pixel detail" throughout the entire zoom range. IMO, a very impressive job by the lens considering the pixel pitch. The downsides to this camera are predictable (poor high ISO performance, poor dynamic range), but its good to see early indications that this camera will otherwise deliver the goods.
