I can't tell too much as some I know and some things I don't have enough data on, but last week we had a showing of our latests digital still and video products to the media in NYC. In this world, we'll be announcing two compact point and shoots and a long zoom model – expand on the models currently available by incorporating more capabilities than ever before.

The new cameras will have increased focus on ease of use, although the new digital cameras will incorporate many high tech features that push the boundary of what is currently being offered but are extremely intuitive.

Information will abound this week as the preview event featured ten hands-on demo stations, where media folks had an opportunity to learn about the full range of technologies being offered in the new models and ask questions of the Panasonic imaging experts.

Interestingly, the even allowed them to test out their capabilities in a real-life environment – a Broadway performance.

The new digital cameras will globally launch later this month I'll provide more as I learn it, but since I don't work at corporate often, news may reach here first.
