Is High Speed Focus really faster than standard focus in real life shooting (as opposed to studio tests)? As others have pointed out, I note a brief "freeze" when using high speed focus on my TZ3. My take is that it is no faster than standard focus, in fact its possibly slower, though I can be wrong.

Should HSF be used with any other special setting to get it to work to it's optimum potential?

This is the first time that I've had a camera with high speed focus so I'm not quite sure what to expect.
