My favourite camera shop (in HongKong) just told me the following information: 1. 300D will be launched in Hongkong on 29th August at a price of you know what <$1000. 2. 10D price in Hongkong dropped to $1400 3. 1Ds price doesn't change "Nah.. doesn't concern me, not interested in 300D or 10D and already have a 1Ds" you may say... but read on.. 4. 1D DISCONTINUED!!! 5. New camera to be announced in September. They call it "3D". No. 5 is uncertain but probable. No. 4 is a fact. So we will definitely get a 1D class camera real soon, be it called 1Dx or 3D or whatever.
