24-70 or 24-105 lens

I am getting 5d II. Should I go with 24-70 or 24-105? I normally shoot landscape and hike with my 40D, 17-40, 70-200 and a tripod. I prefer a lighter lens. But I am not sure quality-wise any significant difference between these two lenses?
