I just sold my 5D to someone on another forum. I never had any issues with the camera in the past. I always used it at weddings, and here in a studio with studio lighting. The person received the camera and sent me an email stating this:

"I just finished a series of test shots using the same setup I used to test my 40D and G10 when I first got them --a group of objects of various colors and detail levels sitting on my white drawing table with a white wall behind it. My office lighting is "daylight" florescent.

I shot the scene in RAW + Small-Fine JPG with my macro lens (50/2.5) at f:2.5 and at ISOs 800 & 1600. I used three different WB settings: AWB, florescent, and tungsten. Picture Styles were "Standard," "Faithful," and "Neutral."

I'm sorry to report that mild to severe color shifting took place across almost all frames, RAW and JPG alike. (This did not happen at all when I tested my 40D and G10.)"

I am not saying this guy is lying or anything, but to me it seems really odd. I think if there was a color shift with this camera I would of seen it. Another thing that strikes me odd is he/she did the test with office lighting at iso 800 & 1600.

I just wanted to check with others here to see if they have had this issue. I am waiting for him to send me the examples. I replied back letting him know that in situations like this I always used a grey card, and if I really wanted to nail color I would use my color checker chart and create a camera profile for that scene.
