With ExifTool, here is how I use it :
I have a .bat file that contains the following two lines :
exiftool -T -r -@ tags_sorted.txt -ext cr2 -ext jpg -ext crw f:\photos\originals\* >all.txt copy tags_titles_sorted.txt+all.txt All_out.txt
The "-ext ..." are all related to an extension. I have files in JPEG (.JPG) and raw from a 1DII (.CR2) and 10D (.CRW), so you have the 3 extensions here... Adapt to your needs...
In the file "tags_sorted.txt", I've put the list of tags I want to use like : -ISO -FocalLength -LensType (or -Lens if LensType doen'st work) ... (See full list of tags in Exiftool doc).
And then, in "tags_titles_sorted.txt", you have a list of the tag names (without '-'), tab delimited. Here it would be ISO FocalLength LensType
At the end, you get a file "All_Out.txt", which is a tab-delimited file with all your required data. I then import it in an Access Database for easy query and analysis...
I've done it for 47000 pictures. It works.
Good work...
I hope it is of some help...
