Well, we are back from a great family vacation in beautiful, beautiful Norway.

I did confirm that the country is a paradise for photography and, as such, cannot recommend strongly enough a visit by anyone who’s into this hobby.

My MK III performed just great and it’s a pleasure to work with. No major problems with the AF (…although, admittedly, Fjords and Glaciers and are not the fastest subjects around…).

I had only one single instance in over 2,000 photos where a photo was lost because of the AF.

Still and regarding AF performance, many of the photos are not as perfect as I would wish but I would be hard pressed into telling it is the camera’s fault when I suspect it was mainly my own inadequacies as a photographer that dictated the outcome.

I felt very “connected” with the camera, almost as if it was designed to my own specs and needs.

The weight of the camera plus a lens is the only less positive factor as it can take a toll on one’s arm after a full day carrying it around (I don’t like to sue the strap around the neck. I feel more comfortable wrapping the strap around my right wrist and holding the camera in my hand.)
