Looks as good or better than the 5D. OOF areas may be a bit "chunkier" than the 5D, but less chromo noise, especially less blue noise. I'm sure Nikon folks are crazy about these results - this image looks like it has the same noise as a D2X or D200 at ISO800. By the time you can actually buy a D3, the 5D will be over 3 years old. How far did Nikon pass up Canon in image quality, I wonder?
