Saving Camera Modes

I am a fairly new owner of a T1i.

I normally shoot in two modes

1) Half press the shutter to ae and af. Only the center focus point used. One shot af.
2) Press the * button to af and half press the shutter to ae. All focus points used. Ai Servo af.

Is any way to save these modes and quickly, with some sort of mode selection mechanism, to switch between the two modes? It is quite a pain to switch between the two modes and I need to do it frequently because my wife will only use #1.
