JPEG quality question

Subject   JPEG quality question  [SIMILAR]

Recently I was told by a fellow photographer that simply viewing JPEG
files repeatedly on your computer will cause JPEGs to lose quality. As I
understand it JPEGs will not lose quality unless they are altered, as in
photoshopped. As someone who takes a lot of JPEGs I would just like
to know for sure. Thanks for any info.
