Hello, this is Jose, from Guatemala.
I recently purchased a Canon Xsi and I love the great overall image quality. But I am a bit dissappointed with the color rendition. Color, as my eyes see it, looks natural most of the time and reds orange and pink look accurate. But the problem is saturation.

For example, I took a pic that includes the colors green, red and orange and realized red and orange are too saturated compared to green.

My house has an almost orange floor and when photographing it it looks over saturated, just as if it was on fire while the other colors look pale.

I do not care saturated colors (i like saturated colors) but the thing is that when trying to saturate blue and green, i get over saturated reds and oranges, and i really hate that.

Since the xsi has almost the same color response as the canon 7D, please check the review on the canon D7 and see the jpge comparison between canon 7D and Nikon D300s, you will see how canon overall color is much less saturated than nikon's, but if you look the canon's red it is the same as it is on the nikon, so, when trying to match canon to nikon, the canon's red will get excessivelly saturated while the other colors will seem pale. (on the other hand, I see that nikon oversaturate yellow)

So I was wondering, is it possible to get more saturated colors, without overdoing the reds ?
