I have noticed that the 500D washed/bows out textures, compared to the nikon D5000.
See the following page - http://www.digitalreview.ca/content/Nikon-D5000-D90-Compared-to-Canon-Rebel-T1i-500D.shtml
At about 1 third of this page - there is an image of a flower - when taken by the nikin, the textures (especially at the top yelow part) are washed out by the canon.
The same can be seen in the images taken by DP review (the standard DPreview test image - with the bottles, globe, watch, robot, and other) - the texture of the wall behind the items is totly washed out.
In the DPreview images - I thought it was because of the slight difference in shutter speed (the canon was set to 1/166, while the nikon was set to 1/200), bit in the images in the page mentioned above, both cameras were set to auto (according to the images descriptions)
I would like to know your opinions.
Thanks
