after about 3 weeks the package with the battery grip marked TRAVOR arrived from hong kong, bought on ebay for 53 euros.

The package was labeled "gift" and a declared value of $ 20: D - no fee.

The packaging includes the battery grip with 2 1000mAh batteries, the slots for the 2 batteries, one slot for 6 AA batteries, instructions multilanguage and in Italian including diagrams.

quality in general is good. if you want to make a note concerning the sheath of the grip which I think applies in some places a little inaccuratly. Compared to the canon original version, has been done a little upgrade at the front, with better ergonomic.

an important step stated by the instructions concerns the sequence of the battery slot. These should be inserted only when the battery grip was mounted otherwise the camera may detect an erroneous state of charge

once removed the battery compartment cover from the camera, it is inserted into the slot of the battery grip. In this way is impossible to lose.

regarding the batteries, not trusting too much of the Chinese ones, I preferred to take a pair of Duracell 950 mAh, 24 euros each. dispatched.

I noticed immediately the difference between Duracell batteries and those Chinese which weigh significantly less (50gr difference); it makes me certainly doubt on the authenticity of 1000mAh. Anyway the Travor ones have been charged as emergency batteries.

once installed it works properly. The commands works as stated and can be disabled with the switch on-off. Surely with the grip the handle gains in stability, with greater evidence in vertical shots, using the extra shutter command .
