I note in the review

"We had very occasional focus issues (mainly when using AIAF / area focus) including one or two 'false positives' (where the camera insists it's in focus and obviously isn't), but out of 2000 test shots this occurred in only a handful, so can't be considered to be a major problem."

"Occasional total focus failures (in our case only 5 or 6 shots in almost 2000)"

"The metering occasionally gets it wrong and I'd recommend turning off AIAF (area) focus as it can get jumpy and produce unpredictable results (if the focus is wrong the metering, which is linked to the AF point, gets it wrong too). "

Does this last statement in particular hint that people who have focus problems might be seeing it when using AI AF mode?
