I would really like to go with the Tokina. I'm willing to use a tripod and would like that extra 100mm if the IQ is there. Please, if you have experience with these, especially if with both, please help me out. I have decided to pick the 70-300 above the 55-250, which was in the equation to begin with. Now it's between the 70-300 and the 80-400 Tokina. I know this is a Canon forum so please don't shoot the Tokina down if you haven't really used it. They are the same price and I would like something that would suffice for occasional attempts at bird or wildlife photography.
