This is human error. My camera and lens are fine (XSi/55-250mm IS0)!

I'm having so much trouble focusing, even when shutter speeds are super fast.

I haven't had this much trouble with my Pany FZ18 using P Mode and shooting 18X (Over 500mm/equiv).

Do you think it's because I'm not used to holding a heavier camera and lens? I haven't used a SLR in almost a decade and only used lightweight compact digital cameras before buying a DSLR in April.

Can it be some of my settings? When shooting wildlife, I keep the XSi set to burst mode and AI Focus (predictive auto focus as needed).

I use the default Standard Picture Style only changing contrast to -1.

I don't usually show uncropped, unedited full sized images, but I really need help. So I've put a few samples in a gallery for those who care to look and provide contructive criticism. They all exhibit varying degrees of sharpness (rather unsharpness) but, out of the more than 100 I took, most were worse than these.

I'd sincerely appreciate any advice. Thank you.
