Just read this review in the March 08 issue of Popular Photography. It's been posted online since February so I apologize if this has been referenced in this forum previously. http://www.popphoto.com/cameralenses/5116/lens-test-canon-ef-s-18-55mm-f35-56-is.html I've decided to get the 450D but sorting through all the lense suggestions as a DSLR newbie can be overwhelming. The kit lens sounds decent, is not too expensive or heavy and will give me time to decide what type of additional lenses I will eventually want.
