As I said before in this group Silkypix seems an officially endorsed effort made with full Sigma support and not the result of reverse engineering.

Sigma Japan lists Silkypix in the japanese news section.

This is actually great since they will probably support any future Sigma's models, and quite frankly Silkypix is way superior to SPP.
