I built this panohead specifically for the DP1. It works for both vertical and horizontal panning with the camera in portrait mode and for vertical only with the camera in landscape mode.

The pieces are an "L" bracket I got off ebay a couple of years ago originally designed for the big Nikon SLRs, an RRS Universal "L" bracket fit to the DP-1 with the end cut out to allow access to the battery and card. A Pano rotator purchased off EBAY, an Acratech leveling plate and two arca clamps, one to clamp the RRS bracket on the camera to the larger "L" that serves as the pano bracket and another to allow removal of th entire assembly from the tripod. I have another arca clamp on another tripod as well.
