hi all,

i've got myself an ultra cheap slave flash that i'd like to milk for all its worth. it's a rubbishy one that i picked up for 10 euros at a local store that always fires full strength (with a gn of 18ish), and doesn't swivel at all. it's a dedicated slave, and don't have a hot-shoe, but has a tripod screw mount thing.

how would i go cheaply mounting this thing with an umbrella? i presume that most umbrella things are designed for hot-shoe flashes, not ones with tripod mounts at the bottom?

again, i'm just after a budget solution. this thing fires very reliably indoors. i'm just after a way to soften and direct the light cheaply, without bouncing it off walls.

thanks for your tuppence!
