The Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord 2 will only give you 2-3 ft of reach to your light stand - not very useful. But if you're handy with a soldering iron, you can build a perfectly functional extension cord to work with the Canon cord using Cat 6 ethernet cable and two pairs of connectors.
