I finally got myself a Digipower DPS-9000 power supply for my D7i. As a test I charged it up (took about 3.5 hours), then went crazy taking random shots (JPEG Fine, full res) with my 1GB Microdrive in the camera. I left the LCD on for the entire test, and used the internal flash for maybe 1/4 of the shots. The results: I got a total of 523 shots from one charge. I filled up the Microdrive at 501 images, downloaded those pictures, and got 22 more shots in before the unit finally pooped out on me. The unit works fine with the camera; I never experienced the LCD outages a few people have reported when using this unit. If the unit continues to give me this level of performance, I will consider this my best photographic investment since buying the D7i.
