Troy,

Congrats on your pioneering and bravery!

Check out Storage Tools and/or FlashFormat for formatting and analysing mass storage device formats:

The .exe driver you mentioned is here:

Get Pocket Explorer to explore all drive contents (including invisible files) on PPC:

Be sure your CF cards are formatted ONLY as FAT16. Your tripper can be FAT32 and be recognized in Mac and PPC. The Mac will add some invisible files to the tripper, don't delete these (may be 0kb), and some Windows invisible files may be seen on Mac, don't delete these either. Let them co-exist.

Be sure to properly dismount the tripper in XP. Not doing so can make the drive PERMANENTLY invisible to Mac OSX (reformatting required). NTFS format is not compatible with Mac or PPC.

Add a "My Documents" folder to the tripper drive and leave alone an "ignore_my_docs" 0kb file the PPC will add to it. This may help with the unrecognized insertions. Be prepared for more instances of these, its a quirk of PPC2002. Just always choose no to formatting then reinsert to hopefully get tripper recognized. Always format/erase your CF cards in your camera to ensure they will work properly. Use a different CF card for MP3's etc.
