I have been using rechargeable AA's in my FL50 for a couple of years. I have primarily used Energizer 2500 MaH and recently tried out the Duracell 2650's. I have been fairly pleased with the performance of both brands and with the Energizer 15 minute charger it has been a convenient affair.

I have however found that I needed to carry several sets of 4 (up to 6) for jobs as they start out strong but rather quickly lose their high speed FL50 refresh capability rather quickly.

There was a thread a few weeks ago where Gunny Hermann recommended Sanyo Eneloops. All I can say is, WOW!!! These things are deceivingly labeled at 2000 MaH but they kill every battery I have used thus far. They come pre charged and they just will not quit. After 75 to 100 shots they still refresh the FL50 as quickly as I can focus and fire. While manually focusing they are AMAZING. Thanks Ben for tip.
