Went to the local Oly hq and was given a special sneak preview of the camera to be unveiled tomorrow. In exchange for this privilege, I promised not to release any pics or details till 1 pm local time tomorrow (+ 8 GMT).

Handled it for about half an hour. The camera was fitted with the kit lens and I quickly replaced it with the 11-54 from my E-1 and plonked in a Sandisk Extreme 3 CF card. Took a few dozen shots at ISO 100 and ISO 1600 in the liitle room I was confined to.

Shot in SHQ and RAW at continous mode to test its speed. Room wasn't dark enough to really push the ISO but there are enough samples for everyone to pixel peep. Also fired with pop up flash. Also photograph the camera with the E-1 from every conceivable angle.

Initial impressions = good! Plus there is one killer feature not found on other current dSLRs.

Felt really good in my hands and most of my earlier predictions in another thread here turned out to be correct. Posting this downstairs via Starbucks wifi, so more later.
