Just to stir up idle speculation about forthcoming Olympus Four Thirds bodies, I just noticed that Kodak has removed the KAF5101CE sensor, the one used in the E-1, from its website. It used to be at this page
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/digital/ccd/products/fullframe/blueplusColorMain.jhtml?id=0.1.4.8&lc=en
but now the lowest resolution option is the KAF-8300CE used in the E-300.

Combine this with the fact that about month ago, the Full Specification of that KAF-8300CE was removed with a notice that "KAF-8300CE Full Specification is currently being revised", and the continuing discounting of the E-1, and I wonder again if the E-1 is about to get a "mid-year model upgrade", to use an improved version of that 8MP sensor. Given how much DSLR buyers worry about pixel counts, this might be what Olmypus marketing needs.
