Forget the various specs being rumored but generally what do you think will be the price point of the rumored D800 in dollars and sterling.

At the moment the D700 is about £1750 – I would imagine that the D800 will be in direct competition with 5DII and its future replacement so would guess about £2500 body only in the early stages – I would be shocked if it was any more than that.

At the moment the 5DII can be got for around £1750 as well but it specs seem a bit dated now (except for the 21MP and video).
