As a wedding photographer I have been delighted with the performance of the D3 and the D700. I was considering getting a D3s but whilst checking out a number of dealers. I came across a D3x with less than 500 shutter actuations at a price too good to ignore {and far cheaper than the D3s} so the good news is I am now the happy owner of a D3x.

The bad news that after finishing my wedding season and a landscape project and with a couple of weeks time off. My brother is off on a four week nature trek and he has my 14-24,24-70,70-200 ,200-400 zooms and my 50,85,200VR primes { he is very well insured believe me I checked :) },so the only af lens I have for the next four weeks is the 35-70 AF-D f2.8 and several older manual lenses. I am so looking forward to getting out and about having some fun with this excellent device. Whilst I am very familiar with the layout form my D3 use, if any D3x users have any suggestions or tips on getting the best from the camera I would be most grateful.
