Ok this is by far my best Orion Nebula ever. I too 4 shots at ISO 1600 for 2.5 and 3 minutes, processed them in Capture NX and then stacked / aligned the files in a program called Images Plus. Then further processed the final image in Photoshop using levels and Hue/saturation. All together a total of 12 minutes worth of exposure time. I did the same for the Horse head nebula but it was three exposures at 3 minutes each, this nebula is not visibly seen like M42 so a long exposure is needed, that is why it looks dimmer, it is a faint object.
