After doing it to my d1x I decided to try the d100 also. It was a little trickier, and I had to file the ends down, and had two goes before I got the retainer back in properly. But it works!! split image/microprism in d100. Backfocus solved hahaha. Special thanks to the instructions posted by eric-j-h, although I would add that it is easier to replace the screen with the camera held upside down. With my old lens collection growing again and k type screens, I have never been so happy with my gear. a.
